Day to Day Atractions

Day 1

Arrival Mumbai

Arrive Mumbai by flight. Our representative will receive you on the airport itself and escort you to your hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2

Mumbai

After breakfast we go on the ferry to explore Elephanata Caves. The caves are located on an island about 6 miles from the harbor. The caves are all about the Hindu sculptures mainly of Shiva dating from 600 AD. After the visit we return back to Mumbai in the afternoon ferry. After lunch we embark on the city’s sightseeing tour. Here we shall we visiting the famous monuments of the city like Gateway of india, Victoria Terminus and Dhobi Ghat. After visiting these we ascend the Malabar Hill to have panoramic view of the whole city. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3

Mumbai-Bangalore-Badami

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Bangalore. Our representative will be there at the Bangalore airport to receive you. You will drive to Badami directly from the airport. On arrival you check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Badami.

Day 4

Badami-Bijapur-Badami

After an early breakfast we leave for a sightseeing tour of Badami Caves.Badami temples comprise of four sandstone sculpted caves and a fifth Buddhist temple cave. After the visit here we leave for Bijapur with our lunches packed with ourselves. On reaching Bijapur, we visit the famous monuments of the city. We will be visiting Gol Gumbaj which is a tomb and has the second largest tomb to be ever built. The complex even has a Museum where we can have a look at objects like inscriptions, sculptures, paintings, manuscripts, and weapons etc. Later we will be visiting Ibrahim Rauza which comprises of a tomb and a mosque.Ibrahim Rauza is also known as “The Taj Mahal of the Deccan” because of its impeccable beauty. Malik-e-Maidan is the last site for the day’s tour. The main attraction of the place is the canon places here which is the largest cannon of the world of medieval times. After the visit we drive back to Badami late in the afternoon. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5

Badami-Pattadakal-Alhole-Hospet

After the breakfast we drive to Hospet and visit Pattadakal and Aihole on our way there. Pattadakal is a centre of Chalukya art and architecture. The city has great sculpted temples and inscriptions. Aihole, also known as the lab of experiments in rock cut architecture holds nearly 125 temples of various styles dating back to the 5th century. After visiting the two cities we continue our drive to Hospet. On arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6

Hospet-Hampi-Hospet

Post breakfast we leave for a full day sightseeing tour to Hampi. Hampi is a famous centre of pilgrimage. The ruins of Vijaynagar Empire can be seen here. The beauty of the place will leave you in awe. A little oasis in the centre with banana, mango and palm trees is surrounded by countless boulders around which is truly unforgettable. Late afternoon drive back to Hospet. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7

Hospet-Hassan

After breakfast we embark on a long drive to reach Hassan. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8

Hassan-Belur-Halebidu-Mysore

After an early breakfast, we check out from the hotel and leave for sightseeing of Belur and Halebidu. At Belur we will be visiting the Chennakeshava temple and two shrines and a Pushkari(stepped well). The temples are laden with intricate workmanship depicting scenes from the Indian Mythological epics. At Halebidu we will visit two Hindu temples, the Hoysaleshawara and Kedareshwara temples and two Jain Basadi. The temples are famous for the intricacies of the work done on the temples. Later continue drive to Mysore en route visit Shravanabelagola where we will visit the two hills, Chandragiri and Vindhyagiri. Continue drive to Mysore, on arrival check in at hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9

Mysore

Post breakfast we embark on a full day sightseeing tour of the Mysore city. We visit the Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace which was his residence in Mysore. The place also has a small museum. The museum contains the newly done portraits, colthes and crown of Tipu Sultan. After that we visit Brindavan Gardens which are an ornamental gardens with beautiful botanical park. In the end we visit Mysore Fort. The fort is a blend of Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic styles of architecture. The architectural style of the palace is commonly described as Indo-Saracenic. After the tour we return back to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10

Mysore-Chennai

Morning is free. Later in the afternoon you will be transferred to the railway station and board a train to Chennai. Upon arrival at Chennai our representative will receive you and transfer you to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11

Chennai-Mahabalipuram

Post breakfast we cehk out of out hotel and leave for a guided tour of Chennai, the cosmopolitan city of Tamil Nadu. Chennai is also known as the ‘Gateway to South India’. We visit the St. George Fort which was built by the British in 1653. It now serves as houses the Secretariat and Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. Later we visit Sri Parthasarathy Temple and Kapaliswara Temple. Later in the afternoon we drive to the beautiful sea shore situated city of Mahabalipuram. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12

Mahabalipuram-Kanchipuram-Mahabalipuram

After breakfast we visit Kanchipuram. It is one of the seven sacred cities of Hindus. We visit the temples here. In afternoon we return to Mahabalipuram and go for a sightseeing tour.

Day 13

Mahabalipuram-Pondicherry

After breakfast we drive through the rice fields and bananas forest. We will visit Auroville en-route, a rural community near Pondicherry. Continue drive to Pondicherry. Upon arrival check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 14

Pondicherry-Chidambaram-Kumbakonam-Thanjavur

After breakfast we leave for Thanjavar through the countryside of Tamil Nadu. On our way there we will visit the unique Natraj Temple of Chidambram and Adi Kumbheswarar Temple, Nageswara Swami Temple, Someswarar Temple, Ramaswamy Temple, Sarangapani Temple, and Chakrapani Temple at Kumbhakonam. Continue drive to Thanjavur. On arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 15

Thanjavur-Tiruchchirappalli-Madurai

After breakfast we visit Brihadeeswara temple, considered as “the grandest temple in South India” and is the second largest monolithic sculptures of its kind in India. Later we leave for Madurai en route visiting Tiruchchirappalli, situated on the banks of river Kaveri. Afternoon visit to Trichy fort, Kumaravayalur (Murugan temple), Manapparai. Evening visit to the Vaishnavite temple on a beautiful island of Srirangam. Continue drive to Madurai. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel. In evening we visit the Meenakshi temple for ‘going to bed ceremony’.

Day 16

Madurai-Mumbai

After breakfast we visit the Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple. We also visit Tirumalai Nayakkar Mahal, Gandhi museum, Mariamman Teppakulam, Koodal Azhagar Temple and Sri Satguru Sangeeta Samajam. Later you will be transferred to airport to board a flight to Mumbai via Chennai. At Mumbai airport you will be received by our representative and transferred to hotel for wash and change only. Later transferred to airport to board flight to onward destination.
