India is aland of very diverse and colorful culture and of exquisite wildlife too. Here on this tour we give the best of both these aspect of India. On this tour we will dip you in the culture and history of central and western India, visiting the forts and palaces of India including Taj Mahal. In the second half of the tour we take you the serenity of the jungles of Madhya Pradesh which inspired Rudyard Kipling to write ‘Jungle Book’. Here you will be dipped in peace and calmness of the forests of Central India along with the vivid wildlife to see explore and see.

Day to Day Atractions

Day 1

Arrive Delhi

Arrive Delhi, the capital of India. Classic Expeditions representative would be there to pick you up and guide you further on. You will be transferred to you hotel for check-in. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2

Delhi

After breakfast we will embark on a full day sight-seeing tour of Old Delhi built by the Mughals and the hip New Delhi. Visit to the Jama Majid, which is the biggest mosque in India is a extra ordinary example of the Mughal Architecture. Old Delhi is famous for for the bustling markets, narrow lanes and the daily lives of people. You can roam around in Old Delhi while enjoying a ride on the man cycled rickshaw. In the afternoon we will visit New Delhi. This sound you will see the ever developing nation that India is. Here we will see the Lutyen’s landscaping, the Indian parliament, Rashtrapati Bhawan (President’s residence) and the India gate. Later we will visit Qutub Minar and Humanyun’s Tomb, two more of Mughal architectural marvels. Evening free for rest and relax. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3

Delhi-Jaipur

After breakfast we drive to Jaipur. Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan is also as the “Pink city”. The city was once the epicentre of Indian Kings and their kingdoms. After reaching the rest of the day is free. You can explore the bazaars which are filled with colourful Rajasthani art, crafts, attires and accessories. The bazaarz also are famous for spices. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 4

Jaipur

After breakfast we leave for a full day sight-seeing tour of Jaipur. First we visit Amber Fort, located on the outskirts of the city. The fort is perfect example of Rajputana architecture. While roaming in the fort complex you can actually imagine the life inside the people in the times of its usage. An elephant ride can be enjoyed here like the royals of the forts used to ride them. An optional early morning/afternoon hot air balloon is also available. You can admire the beauty of jaipur from above and also pass above the oldest mountain range, Aravallis. The hot balloon air ride is launched from various places depending upon weather and wind direction. After lunch we cist Jantar Mantar, which is an open air astronomical observatory. Furthen on we stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Wind) located in the heart of the city. It has a museum which holds a vast collection of weaponry, miniature paintings, royal attire and jewellery. The great bazaar walk: The old city’s market offers most definitely the best of Jaipur. Beginning from Hawa Mahal you will go through bright coloured lanes offering different things to by. You can shop for local art, craft, dresses and accessories. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5

Fatehpur Sikri- Agra

After breakfast drive to Agra. En route we visit to Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri was built by Mughal emperor Akbar as his capital. We visit Bulund Darwaza which is the world’s largest gateway. Further we drive to Agra where we will be visiting Red Fort in the afternoon and the Taj Mahal by sunset. Taj Mahal hardly needs any introduction. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Built by Shah Jahan, the Taj Mahal made in white marble is a memorial to his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal. Stay overnight at hotel. (Note: Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays).

Day 6

Agra–Jhansi–Orchha–Khajurao

After breakfast transfer to railway Station to board train to Jhansi. Train Leaves Agra at 0815 Hrs. On reaching Jhansi we proceed to Orchaa. We visit the Orchaa sites within the fort complex. Orchaa is a site with palaces and temples built by the Bundela rulers in 16th and 17th century. The interiors and exteriors represent the finest of the Bundela School of painting. The palaces and temples are decked with spectacular murals depicting the religious and secular themes of their society. Enjoy your lunch at Orchaa. Later we drive further to Khajurao. Khajurao is a city known for its intricately sculpted temples. The sculptures depicts the life from the Chandelas. They are an artistic tribute to life and is eroticism’s celebration. These temples are exemplary to the craftsmanship and also the broad minded vision of the Chandela Rajputs. Later we check-in to our hotel. Overnight stay at Khajuraho.

Day 7

Khajurao–Bandhavgarh

After breakfast we embark on a morning tour to the Kamasutra Temples studded with intricate sculpture of eroticism. After an early lunch we drive to Bandhavgarh. The drive will take you through the countryside of Madhya Pradesh and is a perfect opportunity to see the life in the villages there. Upon arrival check in to the lodge. Rest of the evening is at leisure. Bandhavgarh National Park: Set amongst The Vindhya Hills in Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh consists of 168 sq miles of Sal and a mixed forest of bamboo, grassland, and a complex of deciduous forests. There are at least 150 species of birds in the park, along with other mammals such as Tigers, Sloth Bear, Langur Monkeys, Wild Boar, Mongoose, 3 Kinds Of Deer - Chital, Sambar And Barking, to name a few.

Day 8

Bandhavgarh

Early morning wake up time with a bed tea/coffee so that you don’t miss that sunrise in the beautiful Bandhavgarh National Park. The music of birds chirping would be the first thing that you will listen after you wake up making it all more exciting. With the first rays of sun we leave for Jungle Safari. A resident naturalist and forest park guides would be with us in 4x4 jeeps. Lunch and afternoon safari by 4x4 jeep accompanied by a resident naturalist and forest guides. Later we return to lodge for evening tea. The time hereafter is free to relax. Dinner and overnight stay at Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge.

Day 9

Bandhavgarh

Early morning wake up time with a bed tea/coffee so that you don’t miss that sunrise in the beautiful Bandhavgarh National Park. The music of birds chirping would be the first thing that you will listen after you wake up making it all more exciting. With the first rays of sun we leave for Jungle Safari. A resident naturalist and forest park guides would be with us in 4x4 jeeps. Lunch and afternoon safari by 4x4 jeep accompanied by a resident naturalist and forest guides. Later we return to lodge for evening tea. The time hereafter is free to relax. Dinner and overnight stay at Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge.

Day 10

Bandhavgarh

After breakfast drive to Kanha. The drive will take us through the rural countryside. En route we make a brief stop at Mandla (sacred city for Gond Tribals). The Narmada river which is second holiest to Ganga is the centre of attraction here. A picnic lunch on our way. Upon arriving Kanha we check-in at our lodge. Overnight stay at Kanha Jungle Lodge. Kanha National Park-Set on The Chhota Nagpur Plateau in Madhya Pradesh, Kanha provides breath taking vistas of grassy plains and strands sal forests. This 366 sq mile preserve was set to save two endangered species i.e. Tiger and The Barasingha. The park offers a variety of species including Tigers and Leopards, Cheetal, Gaur, Barking Deer, Sambhar Deer and the endangered Barasingha Deer.

Day 11

Kanha

Early morning wake up time with a bed tea/coffee so that you don’t miss that sunrise in the beautiful Kanha National Park. The music of birds chirping would be the first thing that you will listen after you wake up making it all more exciting. With the first rays of sun we leave for Jungle Safari. A resident naturalist and forest park guides would be with us in 4x4 jeeps. A picnic breakfast in the middle of the jungle with a cup of hot tea/coffee. In afternoon safari by 4x4 jeep accompanied by a resident naturalist and forest guides. Later we return to lodge for evening tea. The time hereafter is to relax and free for stargazing. Dinner and overnight stay at Kanha Jungle Lodge.

Day 12

Kanha

Early morning wake up time with a bed tea/coffee so that you don’t miss that sunrise in the beautiful Kanha National Park. The music of birds chirping would be the first thing that you will listen after you wake up making it all more exciting. With the first rays of sun we leave for Jungle Safari. A resident naturalist and forest park guides would be with us in 4x4 jeeps. A picnic breakfast in the middle of the jungle with a cup of hot tea/coffee. In afternoon safari by 4x4 jeep accompanied by a resident naturalist and forest guides. Later we return to lodge for evening tea. The time hereafter is to relax and free for stargazing. Dinner and overnight stay at Kanha Jungle Lodge.

Day 13

Kanha–Jabalpur–Delhi

After breakfast proceed for a morning game drive into the park. Post lunch transfer to Jabalpur for a flight to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transfer to the hotel to get fresh followed by transfer to International Terminal to board your flight back home.

Day 14

Delhi

On time transfer to International Terminal to board your flight back home.
